Kate works remedially, targeting specific muscles and structural patterns, with the aim to help your body’s natural healing processes and to alleviate conditions you would like to address. She also integrates a holistic approach, aiming to bring balance and calm to both body and mind. Kate trained in both approaches and aims to integrate the two as there is equal merit in both; working remedially to target individual muscles and also to relax the body and improve parasympathetic nervous response in order to aid rest, repair and relaxation.
Each treatment is tailored to your specific needs at the time, whether that be to aid recovery from injury, or improve muscle balance to protect against injury, to improve sporting performance and posture, or to aid relaxation and reduce the effects of stress or illness. Kate uses a mixture of traditional Swedish massage, mobilisations and stretches, deep tissue work and myofascial release techniques to provide a dynamic and three dimensional approach to massage that aims to relax and effectively address problem areas.
Kate trained with the Bristol College of Massage and Bodywork (BCMB) gaining a Level 4 Diploma in Holistic Massage and then a Level 5 Diploma in Sports and Remedial Massage. She is a member of the Massage Training Institute (MTI) and Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), and is bound by their codes of ethics and professional standards. She is fully insured and undertakes regular Continuing Professional Development.
